Issac Hutto,
For years some of the Huttos living in central and northern
Louisiana believed we were the descendants of
an old bunch of Anglo-Saxons named Von Hutton. However, a
report on the Hutto family indicated that we
are descendants of from an Isaac Otto, Hotto,
or maybe even Hutto, (now commonly spelled "Hutto")
who apparently immigrated from Sobernheim (or Staudernheim) in
southwestern Germany some time between 1735 and 1737.
He and his wife Maria Catherina and their seven children
settled upon 350 acres on the Pon Pon River in the
Orangeburg District, South Carolina, and upon a town lot
on Fenwick Street in Orangeburg.
