The Heart of the Gospel

“For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”
   1 Corinthians 15:3-4 HCSB ©

Paul shared the most important truths of the gospel. Jesus died, was buried, and rose again just as Scriptures had predicted. Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the price for our sins. His sacrificial death paid the ransom to redeem sinful people from eternal punishment. Jesus was dead and was placed in a tomb. On the third day Jesus arose from the grave! He is alive! He is risen! His resurrection provides eternal life. For all who would place their faith and trust in what Jesus did, there is forgiveness of sin and eternal life. Have you accepted His gift and committed your life to Him?

Lord Jesus, You are alive from the dead. Hallelujah! I trust in Your death and resurrection for my salvation, forgiveness and eternal life.
