“That life was revealed, and we have seen it and we testify and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.”
1 John 1:2
HCSB ©
The word revealed or manifested means to show something that already exists. Jesus, the life, the source of all life, existed from before creation. His life cannot be measured by time. He is eternal having always existed with the Father and will always exist. Yet, He was revealed to John and the other disciples. John personally saw Jesus and now is bearing witness about the Eternal Life by telling others about Jesus.
Lord Jesus, You are from everlasting to everlasting, yet You reveal Yourself to those who believe in You. Help me to proclaim this good news to others.
