“But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness, walks in the darkness, and doesn’t know where he’s going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.”
1 John 2:11 HCSB ©

Hatred causes a person to live in darkness and sin. This hate-filled person’s daily “walk,” actions and conduct, is guided by his character. Hatred has taken control of every aspect of his life. He is groping around in darkness without God’s light. He cannot find his way in the dark. Hatred and sin have caused him not to be able to see the truth in himself or others. He has been deceived by the evil that is dominating his life.

Lord Jesus, I long to live in the truth and light of Your Word found in the Bible. Guide me to express Your love to those whose lives are filled with hate and darkness.
