“They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.”
1 John 2:19 HCSB ©

Many of those who taught falsehoods as truth and who were opposed to Christ and His teachings formerly were a part of the Christian church. They may have said the right words, joined the church, and even been leaders in the church. However they left the church, having never made a genuine profession of faith in Jesus. Their actions proved what was in their hearts, that they had been living a lie. It became very evident that they did not know Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord.

Lord Jesus, many people are religious but do not have a personal relationship with You. Use my words and actions to guide them to You.
