Two Diverse Groups

“We know that we are of God, and the whole world is under the sway of the evil one.”
   1 John 5:19 HCSB ©

John states that we know as a matter of fact that all people are divided into two groups. The first group is composed of John and his readers. This group believes in Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Their life is from God and directed by Him. The second group is composed of all other people. This group has no personal relationship with God through Jesus. They are under the influence of the evil one. Their life is dominated and controlled by the evil one. Their life is one of wickedness in God’s sight because they have rejected Jesus as the Son of God. Every person is in one of these two groups. There is no other alternative–you are either with Jesus or against Him.

Lord Jesus, thank You for saving me and adopting me into God’s family. Help me to tell others how they too can find life in You.
