“And the angel answered and said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.’”
Matthew 28:5-6 NASB ©

Believers do not have to be afraid of death. Jesus who died has conquered death. He is risen from the dead. What an amazing sight the women saw as they came to the empty tomb. The stone had been rolled away from the front of the tomb. Inside, there was no body, only the grave clothes. An angel appeared and spoke to them saying that Jesus was not there because He was alive.

Lord Jesus, what an awesome, amazing event occurred as You rose from the dead to live forevermore. I am thankful for Your resurrection that provides the way for believers to have eternal life with You.
