"Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name."
   Philippians 2:9 NASB ©

Because Jesus humbled Himself and obediently gave His life on Calvary’s cross, God the Father highly exalted Him. Having died for the sins of mankind, Jesus was buried in the tomb. On the third day, Jesus arose from the dead. He ascended back to Heaven to take His place as the sovereign and majestic King of Kings and Lord of Lords. God the Father also gave Him a special name that reveals His character and nature, the Lord Jesus Christ. “Lord” means master or owner. “Jesus” literally means God's salvation or the God who saves. “Christ” means God's anointed one or God's special one.

Lord Jesus, You are Christ the Lord who provides salvation for those who trust in You. I desire that my life bring glory and honor to Your great name.
