“O Lord, lead me in Thy righteousness because of my foes; Make Thy way straight before me.”
   Psalm 5:8 NASB ©

The psalmist has entered into the temple and prays for God’s guidance. There are many people around him that are doing wrong and sinful things. They are watching him to see how he will live his life and to see if they can destroy him. Therefore, the psalmist prays that God will direct him to live a righteous and holy life. He seeks to follow God’s perfect path, not being distracted by the evil around him. He asks God to make His will known to him so that he might live out a godly life in front of his foes.

Lord Jesus, I desire to follow Your perfect and right way for my life. Light clearly the path for me to follow each moment of this day so I can live righteously.
